Senior Engineer, IBM BAW Development (REMOTE option)

Raymond James is a financial services firm that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build solutions for money movement applications. This hands-on development role involves leveraging IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and modern integration technologies to create scalable systems and improve workflow automation. Responsibilities: Analyze business and system Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in application development, with a strong focus on IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) or IBM BPM; Strong hands-on experience designing and developing BAW workflows, process applications, and integrations; Strong hands-on experience with Java and Angular; Experience with Oracle SQL, including writing and troubleshooting queries; Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction; Ability to design and implement resilient, scalable, and maintainable solutions, including proper error handling, transaction management, and recovery strategies; Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues across technical, functional, and business domains; Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid development methodologies; Experience with enterprise integration technologies, web services (REST/SOAP), and messaging platforms (e.g., MQ) is a plus; Solid knowledge of JavaScript concepts across browser and server-side use cases; Bachelor's: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor's: Computer Engineering, Bachelor's: Data Science, High School (HS) (Required) Required Skills: IBM Business Automation Workflow, Java, Angular, Oracle SQL, Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodologies, Object-Oriented Programming
