Junior Software Engineer

Haystack is a leading technology solutions provider that serves government and commercial clients by delivering innovative and efficient digital and mission solutions. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission-critical software using modern languages like Java, while participating in the full software development lifecycle within an Agile framework. Responsibilities: Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug mission-critical software using modern languages like Java; Participate in the full software development lifecycle within an Agile framework; Utilize Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git for workflow management and team collaboration; Support the creation and updating of all relevant design, development, and testing documentation; Identify and proactively address potential development roadblocks; Plan and estimate development tasks, focusing on performance improvements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience, or a Master's degree; US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance or higher; Hands-on experience with Java/C++ and object-oriented programming; Hands-on experience with JavaScript and JS frameworks like React; Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals; Strong self-motivation and a desire to learn new technologies Required Skills: Java, C++, Object-oriented programming, JavaScript, React, Software development process fundamentals, Agile methodology, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, Security clearance - Secret
