Job Description
Leidos is a leading company awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture contract, seeking a Data Transport Software Engineer Sr. This role involves developing scalable cloud-native solutions and ensuring best practices in architecture, development, deployment, and security to support critical missions.
Responsibilities:
Must have prior experience supporting development of the Data Transport Monitoring Tool; Troubleshoots connectivity between Data Transport environments to ensure proper reporting and metrics for the Monitoring Tool; Architect, deploy, and integrate the DT Monitoring Tool within DT environments; Designing software solutions to meet technical and business needs by leveraging knowledge of programming languages, architecture, and technology; Support system integration, verification, validation, testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple technical domains; Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution for customers; Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures; Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. A Doctorate in a related technical domain may be considered; Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required; CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II); Expert-level experience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI); Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices; Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application architectures; Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security concepts; Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (e.g., Apache NiFi); Excellent written and verbal communication skills
