Mass General Brigham is a not-for-profit organization that supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Data Scientist to provide analytic and project management support for reproductive health research initiatives, involving data management, statistical analysis, and report preparation. Responsibilities: Analyze complex and high-dimensional clinical and operational data for dependencies, patterns, outliers, inaccuracies, and validity; Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and/or advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries; Contribute to the design and evaluation of optimal data-driven metrics (such as physician/facility performance criteria, bottleneck metrics, productivity limits, processing delay/error reports, etc.); Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data; Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results Qualifications: Strong project management and data analytic skills; Experience with large healthcare datasets (claims, electronic health records, etc.); Close attention to detail and timelines; Discretion in handling sensitive information; Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to analyze complex and high-dimensional clinical and operational data for dependencies, patterns, outliers, inaccuracies, and validity; Knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and/or advanced mathematics; Ability to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries; Ability to design and evaluate optimal data-driven metrics; Ability to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms; Ability to generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results Required Skills: Data analytics, Healthcare datasets, Claims data, Electronic health records, Data management, Statistical analysis, Report preparation, Statistics, Machine learning, Programming, Data modeling, Simulation, Advanced mathematics, Predictive modeling, Algorithm design, Project management
