Job Description

Standard Bots is on a mission to lower the barrier to entry to real-world automation and enhance productivity across industries. As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to build and maintain test automation, validate software releases, and ensure product quality. Responsibilities: Write, maintain and extend automated test suites (end to end, integration and regression) for Standard Bots’ Software stack; Develop and improve test automation frameworks; Build internal tooling and scripts to support QA workflows (log parsing, data extraction, test reporting); Execute manual and automated regression testing across software releases to catch regressions before they reach customers; Collaborate with developers to reproduce isolate and document defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting data; Review feature specifications and PRs for testability and edge case coverage; Contribute to test case design as new features ship ensuring functional coverage across complex robotic environments; Participate in release QA processes, including gated test runs and release candidate validation Qualifications: 1–3 years of software engineering or test automation experience (or equivalent educational background); Comfortable writing code in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Bash or similar languages; Familiarity with test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, pytest, Jest) and CI/CD concepts; Experience writing automated tests is strongly Required Skills: Python, Test Automation, Git, Linux/CLI, Test Frameworks, Growth + Optimism, Impact Driven, Clarity of Communication
